History

Desert Oasis Healthcare (DOHC) was formed in 1981 as one of the first medical groups in the desert communities of southern California.

HPN Affiliation

DOHC is an affiliate of the Heritage Provider Network (HPN) founded by Dr. Richard Merkin. Today, HPN and its affiliated medical groups, including DOHC, make up one of the nation’s leading physician-driven health care solutions organizations.

DOHC is an organization that contracts to provide health care services to Medicare Advantage and other health plans. In turn, DOHC contracts with a network of primary care providers and specialists, as well as hospitals, diagnostic centers, and other health care partners.

Changing to Meet Patient Needs

DOHC continues to advance with changes in the health care market, providing primary care, immediate care, home health, palliative care, and other services to thousands of members/patients living in the greater Coachella Valley and the Morongo Basin of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
