When visiting their doctor, patients need to feel hope, peace of mind, and reassurance that someone cares. Those elements are essential to Dr. Jeff Lawhead's philosophy of "healthcare from the heart." He believes that passion for what he does every day, delivered with compassion and empathy, are what separate being a medical practitioner from someone who practices "the art of medicine.”

Even though no two days are alike, Dr. Lawhead feels that his work as a family physician gives him an opportunity to make a difference by teaching his patients how to live healthier lives. Central to that for Dr. Lawhead is "all things in moderation," a life principle he credits to his parents along with a strong work ethic.

Golf, travel, dining out, and music are al hobbies D.r Lawhead enjoys, as well as taking his Harley Street Glide out for a weekly cruise. While D.r Lawhead may live, work, and play in California, he stays true to his "back home" college and pro sports teams including the KU Jayhawks, and the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Sporting Kansas City.
