About the Provider
With a Master's in Business Administration as well as being a Medical Doctor, Dr. Shawn Allen's practice runs like clockwork. But being a double-threat as a businesswoman-doctor doesn't mean that she's lost the human touch.
"Making a deep connection with my patients - and even with many of their family members - is important to me,” says D.r Allen. "I really feel like I'm an educator and coach to my patients about their health, as much as I am their doctor.”
The single best bit of advice she can offer her patients - or anyone, for that matter - is "Eat well, exercise daily, and BE HAPPY!"
Apparently, she modeled a happy work life for her two sons because one of them is completing a Physician Assistant program at Cornell University while the other is studying at Seton Hal. Together with her rescue dog Diamond, Dr. Allen is holding down the home front. Together, she and Diamond cheer on the sports teams of her undergraduate alma mater UCLA, as well as the LA Rams and the LA Lakers.
