About the Provider
There's an air of poetry that surrounds Dr. Prem Salhotra and his views on medicine. He quotes a writer known only as anonymous when he describes his philosophy of practice: "Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love.”
Dr. Salhotra is a native of India where he was greatly influenced by the caregivers around him. "During my childhood, I always felt amazed by the charismatic personalities of the doctors in the area where I lived" he says. "I was always curious about the magic they created while they healed people with their knowledge!”
He's brought his own poetry to his medical practice by enjoying the richness of the relationships he develops with his patients and their families. Many of these relationships have lasted for decades. Apparently, the doctor's love for his work is part of his home life because his wife, Neelam, is his business partner. The couple has three children and two grandchildren.
