About the Provider
"Medicine is a combination of science and the art of caring,” says Dr. Erik Palmer. "As a family medicine physician, I listen intently to each patient explain their ailments and their degree of pain or suffering, so I can do my best to diagnose the solution that's best for that individual."
It was D.r Palmer's curiosity for challenges with the human body and caring for people that ultimately influenced him to pursue a career in medicine. In the process, he left behind a past as a professional dirt bike racer and writer for a rock and roll magazine!
After 19 years of practicing family medicine in the Coachella Valley, Dr. Palmer has seen some of his patients grow to adulthood and have children of their own. He has been married for 25 years to Dr. Kimberley Yang and they have a home filled with son Wyatt, three cats and a dog.
As a 5th generation Los Angeleno, Dr. Palmer's favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Dodgers while he also enjoys U.S. Civil War history and the sport of trap shooting. He's also an amateur photographer who enjoys spending time traveling with his family.
He hopes one day to do a medical mission within U.S. borders because he feels there are many people in need of medical care right here at home, including in our surrounding neighborhoods.
